Jeanna's boss got 10 tickets for the Chinese peforming arts at Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium tonight and we are the lucky ones got invited to it. :-)
The show had dances inspired by ancient Chinese mythology and Chinese ethnic folk dances. The show also featured classical Chinese vocal performances, instrumental music and classical Chinese dance and drums. I've only seen this kind of performance on TV before. It was very cool to see it live.
My favorite part of the show was the live orchestra. It features classical Western musical instruments, as well as traditional Chinese instruments. The live music combines the best of Western and Chinese musical instruments.
Side note: I feel old. Hahaha... I knew the Chinese mythology and folk stories that Tiffany didn't know.
